“Go Green & Art” Carnival

In celebration of Fu Hong Society’s 40th Anniversary, the Society is hosting a series of charitable events for fostering social inclusion for persons with disabilities. "Go Green & Art” Carnival was one of the signature project schemes, which had been held at The Urban Council Centenary Garden (Tsim Sha Tsui East) on 4 March 2017.
It was our honour to have invited Mr. Stephen Sui, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare and Mr Chris Ip, Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Council as the officiating guests. During the ceremony, they used recycled plastic bottles to add watercolor paints to the number "40” on the painting that was prepared by our service users, it symbolized the Society’s 40th Anniversary.
The carinal included environment friendly and art related game booths and performances, and charity second-hand market is included as well, which attracted more than 1,000 people to join. We are grateful for the support from numbers of large housing estates and corporates, in total of 300 boxes of donations had been received and more than 50,000 items sold at the charity second-hand market. All funds raised will be used on our social enterprises for enhancing employment opportunities for the persons with disabilities.
