Fu Hong Society "40th Anniversary Talent Show” had been successfully held on 17 August 2017(Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. at Auditorium, Yuen Long Theatre. We would like to express our gratitude to Hon LEUNG Che-cheung, SBS, MH, JP, Legislative Councilor, Mr FONG Kai Leung, Assistant Director (Rehabilitation & Medical Social Services), Social Welfare Department, Rev Jyothi MANOHAR, Councilor of PIME Hong Kong-China., Mr Kyran SZE, MH, Vice Chairman of the Society and Chairman of Task Force on FHS 40th Anniversary Celebration, Mr LAM Lai Shing, Chairman of Fu Hong Parents' Association, and service users of the Society for being our officiating guests. Their presence enlightened the programme very much.

There were seven acts performed by over 200 service users, parents and volunteers, including Singing, Sand Painting x Dance, Drama, Documentary Film, Magic Performance, Dance Show and Chinese Drum Show, which fully demonstrated talents of persons with disabilities to the audience. To conclude the event, all participants took the stage together to sing "The Blessing of Love”, theme song of the Talent Show. The Show was wonderful and unforgettable. There were over 900 audiences from different sectors coming with their happy faces and compliments.

The event was not only a creative and meaningful celebration of 40th Anniversary, but also a platform for our service users to showcase their talents so the public would get to know their enthusiasm and vitality, and they could achieve so much greater with better self-affirmation. As many of our audience were impressed by the excellent performance of service users, this enhanced the public understanding towards persons with disabilities and further promoted social inclusion.
